WCOAP 2023 will run from Wednesday 23rd August to Monday 28th August 2023, live at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, UK – preceeded by a live Day 1 (at DTD Sun 20th) and with 2 online Day 1’s on GGPoker (Mon 21st and Tue 22nd).

WCOAP 2023 SCHEDULE

ONLINE MAIN EVENT DAY 1’S AND ONLINE SATELLITES

The Online Day 1’s will run at 7:30pm on Monday 21st August and Tuesday 22nd August – entry will be £150 (Online Day 1’s for the WCOAP Main Event are Reg-Free, courtesy of GGPoker)

You can qualify for a fraction of the buyin with the daily satellites now available on GGPoker.

6:30pm – £1 Satellite into the £5 Satellite (Re-Entry)

8:00pm – £5 Satellite into the £25 Satellite (Re-Entry)

9:30pm – £25 Satellite to win a £150 WCOAP Ticket (Re-Entry)

Players can win multiple £150 WCOAP Tickets and use them to buy into either or both Online Day 1’s.

Any unused £150 WCOAP Tickets will be switched into WCOAP Tournament Credit and be available (from Wednesday 23rd August) via the Dusk Till Dawn Cash Desk to buy into any live WCOAP events in Nottingham.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Although the GGPoker lobby states largest stack goes through for the MAIN EVENT (this is a hard coded software issue we can’t get around), ANY PLAYER WHO FIRES A SUBSEQUENT BULLET INTO A DAY 1, WHO HAS ALREADY QUALIFIED FOR DAY 2, WILL IMMEDIATELY FORFEIT ANY PREVIOUSLY WON DAY 2 STACK AND IT WILL NOT GO INTO PLAY – AND HENCE NO MIN CASH WILL BE DUE.  

LIVE EVENT REGISTRATION

EVENT REGISTRATION ON THE DAY will run as follows:

Event registration will take place at the DTD registration desk on the day for all events for all remaining seats.  Registration for all daily events will be open from 60 minutes prior to the first daily event.

Where events hit capacity then an Alternates List will run, with names added to the list up until the end of late registration, with players offered a seat as one becomes available – and at this time they may either take or refuse the seat – refusing the seat will remove them from the AL. 

Chips go into play from the start of the event if registering prior to the event start, or if registering later then from when a player takes their seat, or otherwise automatically at the end of late reg.

Team entry to the Team Championship on Wed/Thu is controlled by APAT and entry is available by APAT INVITATION ONLY.

PLAYERS WHO BUY-IN FOR MULTIPLE OVERLAPPING EVENTS

Whilst not wishing to restrict event choices and enjoyment throughout the week, WCOAP 2023 players will be allowed to multi-table, HOWEVER, where a player reaches any Final Table, then the player MUST play that Final Table and only able to play any other event when the Final Table is on a break (NB you may NOT play the other event when on a Final Table and in-between hands).

WCOAP International Team Champions – a £560 UKPC Main Event Seat each (DTD, January 2024) 

WCOAP Main Event Champion – a £560 UKPC Main Event Seat (DTD, January 2024) 

WCOAP Player of the Series – a £560 UKPC Main Event Seat (DTD, January 2024) for 1st, plus a DTD100 Main Event Seat for 2nd.

PLAYER OF THE SERIES (POTS)

We’re delighted to confirm All WCOAP Bracelet Events will award POTS points to the Top 9 finishers (inc Top 9 individual scorers in Team event, both players in the Tag Team event and the Top 9 on both the NLHE and PLO Online Bracelet events).

That’s 25 events in total and the points allocation will be :-

1st – 9 POTS pts

2nd – 8 POTS pts

3rd – 7 POTS pts

4th – 6 POTS pts

5th – 5 POTS pts

6th – 4 POTS pts

7th – 3 POTS pts

8th – 2 POTS pts

9th – 1 POTS pt

This will be the same for all events (no extra for Main Event) and buyin and number of runners is not part of any calculation.

Should there be a tie between any players in the POTS Leaderboard, position is determined by the number of events contributing to their total score, then determined by a count back on 1st place, then 2nd place, then 3rd place and so on to decide which player places higher.

The added value for POTS is a UKPC Main Event Seat (DTD, January 2024) courtesy of GGPoker for 1st, and a DTD100 Main Event Seat courtesy of DTD for 2nd. 

Additional Info :

All events are open to everyone – all players must be members of DTD, and photo ID is required to join, though we strongly recommend that ALL attendees bring Photo ID with them (even if already a member).

The Main Event is a Daily Freezeout – a maximum of 1 bullet each Day 1 and will auto forfeit any Day 2 stack if firing again on another day.  Each Day 1 will play down to 15% of entries to qualify into Day 2 and all stacks put in play for Day 2 will be ‘in the money’ with a min cash locked up.  The High Roller allows 1 re-entry.  All other events are Freezeouts.  WCOAP Bracelets and Championship Medals are awarded for ALL EVENTS.

A shot clock will be utilised for Championship events from the start of each day, with 20 secs plus 4 x 30 secs timebanks, reset to this at 2-table and Final Table.

Each exact event prize pool breakdown will be confirmed at the venue after the event has closed for further entries, and for the Main Event after the completion of the final Day 1.

Winnings from WCOAP live events at DTD will be paid via the same method as pre-registration for the event – so into your LuxonPay account (immediately on winning, and available to use immediately or withdraw cash in DTD), or paid as cash at DTD for those who buy-in at DTD.
